Them Bones, Them Bones is a side quest in Weird West. This quest can be picked up by talking to an undertaker from any random town.
Walkthrough[]
The undertaker says that when they buried a person, they forgot to take out certain items and asks the protagonist to dig up the grave. The undertaker is in fact a grave robber and uses other people to do the robbing. Bring a few shovels then travel to an abandoned town mentioned by the undertaker. Deal with the enemies in the town or sneak to the graveyard, and start digging up the graves until the quest items are found. Bring the items back to the undertaker and receive a Golden Ace of Spades (and a loss of 10 Reputation).
Outcomes[]
- After completing the quest, the undertaker might end up on bounty boards for grave robbing. If this happens, a news article will be published: Scandal in the Graveyard: Undertaker Accused of Robbing Own Clients' Graves!
- After the quest, a mound cache will spawn behind the undertaker's house. Inside is a note and various junk items. The note contains a list of random names of deceased people in the town. The junk items appear to be these people's belongings. This suggests the undertaker robbed their graves.
Trivia[]
- Sometimes, an item obtained from digging the graves, lace pocket square, can remain in inventory even after turning in and completing the quest. This item cannot be removed from the inventory or transferred to another storage/deposit box. This effectively leaves the player with one less inventory space for the playthrough.
