Spirits are ethereal entities in the world of Weird West. They exist in many shapes and forms, some are worshipped by certain people in the West, and some are even used and tormented for others' gains. It is believed that Amulets were created by the Ancients by trapping the spirits of the deceased in these small trinkets.
Types of Spirits[]
Ghosts[]

Ghosts are spirits of dead people that are trapped in the world of the living because they died with unfinished businesses.[1] It's possible to encounter ghosts during the journeys though this is a rare occurrence. They might give out quests but in order to accept them, the protagonist must first acquire the ability to talk to them during the Protector Journey. On the mini-map, ghosts are denoted by the yellow moon and stars symbol.
Spirit of Greed[]
Spirit of Greed or Wiindigo can control greedy men, turning them into Ravenous
Thunderbird[]

Thunderbird, also known as Animikiig, is a spirit revered by the Lost Fire Nation. The elders of the Nation can perform a ritual that grants specific people the power of Thunderbird which allows them to call forth lightning strikes and talk to ghosts.
Wisps[]

A wisp floating in front of three Oneirists.
Wisps look like ball of lightning that wander around Temple of the Ancients. If attacked, they electrocute anything nearby and vanish. Oneirists has the ability to summon wisps to protect them.
Wraiths[]
Wraiths are malevolent spirits from the Beyond.
Yeb & Inun[]
The twin spirits of Yeb and Inun are worshipped by the Absolutionists
