Snack is a mysterious creature who is kept by Shelby Cross as a pet.
Biography[]
According to Flora Albright, Snack belongs to a group of "creatures" who wish to be consumed by Sirens in order to "transcend". Snack, on the other hand, claims that after being eaten, his memory will become part of a siren, and he will live forever. His chance to be eaten is dwindling, however, as he is too old and "leather-like", even Cross and the sirens don't eat him, instead opt to keep him around as a pet. It is unclear whether Flora refers to Snack as "creature" out of disgust or Snack is actually of a different species. His brain, however, appears to be human's.
Bounty Hunter Journey[]
Snack can be found in a large wooden box, which is labeled "old meat", near the end of the Big Gulch Mine tunnels. Jane can either bring him or kill him and then bring his brain to Flora so she can eat and gain Snack's memories, thus revealing the location of Shelby Cross. Jane can also leave him be, and go straight to Copper Mountain Quarry, in which case, he will disappear after the Bounty Hunter Journey.
