- Throughout Weird West, there are writings that are part of the lyric of Overdrive, a song by Weird Wolves:
- "We're alive, we feel we thrive!" can be found written on random houses in towns and farmsteads.
- "Gold and fame for dirt and blame, so much pain for so little gain." is written on the second floor of the Olvidado manor.
- "It all dies" can be found in Foxglove.
- "A machine, all intention, no design." and "All the pieces, come alive, stay satisfied." can be seen in the branding room, during a cutscene at the beginning of the Oneirist Journey
- There are a few details that can be found among the scribblings that the Ravenous draw:
- The Olvidado mansion.
- The phrase "The Great Olvidado" which refers to Generoso Olvidado, and a crown which is likely a nod to his title "King of the West"
- A blue heart which refers to Wiindigo's icy heart.
- The "riffle" typo on the walls of gun shops is an actual mistake during development. The developers fixed it by adding a red "X" over the extra "f".[1]
