Wraiths are spirits from the Beyond that had come to the world of Weird West.[1]

Wraiths can be found in long-abandoned places or summoned by witches and Oneirists.[2] Not to be confused with ghosts, whose spirits are trapped in the world of the living after dying with unfinished business,[3] wraiths are vicious and attack anyone on sight. They have the ability to raise the dead, can teleport, and can drain the life force from nearby victims.
Most wraiths are mindless spirits, incapable of communicating, but there are some who are cunning and even capable of tricking their victims. A wraith tricked Pigman Joe into giving it his soul by promising to make him a better poet. Another haunted a town and possessed its inhabitants during The Strangeness quest. The Bloodstained Soul, a wraith who was imprisoned in a statuette by an Oneirist, lures and tricks people into releasing it from its imprisonment.
Combat Tips[]
- Wraiths are immune to fire.
- After a wraith vanishes, it might reappear next to its victim and perform a swipe attack that deal high damage.
- Once a wraith is killed, all zombies it animated will also die.
- Wraiths can channel a spell that drains the health of nearby victims to heal themselves. When a blinking circle appears while fighting a wraith, quickly move out of it to avoid being drained.
Trivia[]
- If a Companion is killed by a wraith, they might be resurrected by the wraith as a zombie.
