Consumables are items that can be used to grant or remove temporary effects. There are four types of consumables and they are bound to directional keys/buttons for quick use.
Bandage[]
Bandages recover 50HP and cure Bleeding status. They can also be used to revive NPCs in certain quests or situations. Companions will automatically use bandages when their health is below 40% if there are bandages in their inventory. The protagonist can also manually heal companions by standing next to them and holding the 'interact' button. Bandages can be bought from doctor's offices and clinics.
Dr. Long's Antivenom Elixir[]
Antivenom elixirs remove Poisoned status. As the name suggests, the formula for the elixir was invented by Minerva Long from Grackle. If companions have the elixirs in their inventories, they automatically use them when they are poisoned. Antivenom Elixirs can be bought from doctor's offices and clinics.
Invigorating Tonic[]
Invigorating tonics using cocoa and coffee among other ingredients[1] to replenish all Action Points when used. They can be bought from doctor's offices and clinics. Invigorating Tonics is the only way to let the protagonists keep using abilities during battles. Sleeping also restores Action Points but beds are not always available, especially in hostile areas.
Sixth Sense Elixir[]
Sixth sense elixirs are made by the Wanderers, using powerful herbs that awaken the senses.[2] For 30 seconds, they allow the protagonists to see living creatures through obstacles, and also highlight corpses which makes it easier to loot them. Enemies and corpses are highlighted by red outlines and neutral characters by green outlines. Sixth sense elixirs can be bought from Wanderers in Wanderer Outpost or during the Wanderer Caravan Random Encounter.
