Community Events are time-limited online events that add many side contents to Weird West. New quests, characters, enemies, and Random Encounters are introduced during these events. Players can opt-out of the events by activating offline mode in Settings.
The Plague[]
A terrible plague sweeps across the West, raising the dead from their graves. The protagonists might encounter past characters, that have been killed, in the form of Plague Zombies. Certain abandoned locations are infested with numerous zombies instead of outlaws and other creatures, and side quest locations also have a high chance to have zombies. Characters frequently talk about the plague, and even conversations during both journeys and side quests mention it. The event also adds the following contents:
- Two new random encounters
- New side quests
- New news article
After the event ended, some visual changes remain in the game such as plague warning signs and funeral pyres in towns and the triage tents in Grackle.
This event occurred on the following dates:
- April 12, 2022 - April 20, 2022
- December 25, 2022 - January 2, 2023
- Starting from January 5, the event occurs every 3 weeks for a span of 5 days.
